Stories Never Told — Yemen's Crises and Renaissance

Nov. 7-24, 2019
The Annex @ AANM
Free with Museum admission

AANM will be featuring artwork from Stories Never Told — first displayed in conjunction with the Museum's Arab Film Series in February 2019 — once again from Nov. 7-24. This display will launch in The Annex during the opening reception at MOVE on Nov. 7 and will run for limited hours (listed below, subject to change) for the public with Museum admission through Nov. 24.

Stories Never Told features the creative productions of 24 Yemeni artists from across the globe with an emphasis on Yemen’s crises and artistic renaissance. The display has traveled to more than six institutions in 2019 and has reached over 600 people. Tackling issues of identity, the Muslim Ban, destruction and refugees, Stories Never Told evokes both emotion and power with hopes of inspiring humanity to take action.
