Devised in Tokyo in 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public, PechaKucha Night has turned into a massive celebration of concise creativity, with events happening in cities around the world.
Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat," Pecha Kucha Night rests on a presentation format of 20 images in about six minutes. It’s a great experience for professional designers and aspiring creatives, as well as casual observers with an interest in what’s new.
Detroit Synergy and the AANM have teamed up to present PechaKucha Night Detroit Volume Eleven, including a festive 6:30 p.m. reception in the AANM’s Community Courtyard (cash bar); presentations begin at 8:20 p.m. in the Lower Level Auditorium.
