Created by hand in Tunisia to reflect the creativity and culture through the use of color & design, this pottery is traditional yet contemporary, with artisitic elements inspired by ancient art and arcitecture in a lavish dinnerware collection.
The 'Sauvage' pattern is a delightful combination of design and color that reflects the artistry of 'Arabesque' (in Arab fashion) in shades of golds, blues and yellows with a touch of green on a field of white. A magnificent 16" serving bowl with lead free glazes makes it a perfect complement to any table.
This pattern is discontinued and only one available.
With an ideal climate and a long and gentle coastline, Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa, nestled just across the Mediterranean Sea from Italy. Tunisia has, for over 2000 years, witnessed the passage of Phoenicians, Romans, Vandal. Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French. They cames as fugitives and adventurers, to conquer and claim, as warrior and missionaries, traders and farmers, each leaving behind a part of their rich culture on the threshold of the Sahara.
