Amina, born in Tunisia and raised in France, has spent her life on a musical quest. Nomad – The Best of Amina captures the highlights of this ongoing journey. From “Le Dernier Qui A Parle,” her 1991 Eurovision Song Contest winner to the brand new “Ya Baba” and “Ederlezi” or her inspired Arabic cover of Billie Holiday’s standard, “My Man” Amina’s music is the work of a true artist. Her collaborations include Wasis Diop, Lenn Kravitz, Jeff Beck, Hank Jones, Afrika Bambaataa, Renegade Soundwave and Nusrat Fatah, Ali Khan. Her music incorporates the influences of the melodic sounds of Africa and the Arab world with dance floor, techno and chanson. Amina pushes herself, refuses to see boundaries, and loses herself in the music to create a unique global experience.
