The word 'Arabesque" is a type of decoration meaning "Arab Style".  It describes an intricate pattern with vines, leaves or flowers and sometimes just lines.  The design presented in  sunshine yellow and cobalt blue flowers and vines bordered in cobalt blue is a delightful example of "Arabesque".  Hand painted by Palestinian artisans in Jerusalem, this six inch square tile can be used for a hot-plate or hung on the wall with its attached hanger. What an enchanting and traditional hostess gift it would make and a treasure to own.
