This charming ten ounce mug is made by Silsal Ceramics, a pottery studio in the heart of Amman Jordan.  The workshop and gallery house a team of artists and artisans working together to produce functional art pieces.  A delightful way to enjoy the beverage of your choice in this handmade porcelain mug, incised and painted to give bas-relief imagery, with special non-toxic glaze designed for practical contemporary use.  The design is inspired form the use of Arabic Calligraphy as a decorative element.  The sandstone color glazes are characterized by their calm, earthy colors and smooth patina that is typical of stoneware pottery. Priced individually, and makes a welcome gift. 'Abundance, wishes of good fortune & long life' are the words written in Aarabic calligraphy on each mug on the sandstone exterior with a solid deeper rich high gloss sandstone interior.
