Authentic Arabic dishes from mainly Lebanon, Palestine & Syria were compiled by members of the Arab Women Union in Detroit, Michigan and was originally published in 1976.
The word/title 'SAHTEIN' translates to “Eat With Good Health” and is a phrase often used before sharing foods presented in Arab homes and restaurants.
With over 300 pages this cookbook offers not just recipes but helpful information of cooking temperatures, measurements and equivalents, substitution suggestions, suggested menus, helpful hints, a dictionary of herbs, spices & nuts & even a page with hand drawings of the most common spices used in Arabic cuisine.
