In ancient times (3000 years ago) a mosaic was made from glass and rock.  Modern times (a few hundred years ago) began the art of wooden mosaic developed in Damascus, Syria.  This mosaic art form uses mother of pearl, walnut, rose, lemon, peach & other woods in intricate geometric designs. Created in Syria this rectangular mosaic veneer inlaid frame is a great way to frame that special photograph, it will complement any decor and add a bit of old world charm. Opening fits an 8" X 10" photo and can be hung vertically or horizontally.
