Created by hand in Tunisia to reflect the creativity and culture through the use of color & design this magnificient design is captured straight from the sea. Soothing in cool, watery turquoise, Sabrine pattern represents everything lovely about art and pottery. A contemporary take on tradition, Sabrine displays intricate details of the fusion of the Spanish-Moorish art form in shades of rich turquoise accented with black, navy and touches of red, green and yellow. With artistic elements of intersecting arches embellished with spots of color, the Sabrine pattern inspires thoughts of ancient art and architecture in a lavish dinnerware collection. Hand-thrown & hand- painted ceramic with lead free glaze a generous 12" wide by 7" deep serving bowl.
With an ideal climate and a long and gentle coastline, Tunisia is the northernmost country in Africa, nestled just across the Mediterranean Sea from Italy. Tunisia has, for over 2000 years, witnessed the passage of Phoenicians, Romans, Vandal, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French. They came as fugitives and adventurers, to conquer and claim, as warriors and missionaries, traders and farmers, each leaving behind a part of their culture there on the threshold of the Sahara.
