AANM is proud to be the only institution in Michigan participating in The Seventh Art Stand, the nationwide act of cinematic solidarity against Islamophobia. AANM presents a free screening of A Stray, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Musa Syeed. The film highlights the story of Adan, a Somali refugee who, while trying to find his place in the world, stumbles upon an unlikely companion.

Immediately following the screening will be a town hall to discuss what exactly the Muslim ban symbolizes, why specific countries are targeted, and what can be done to counteract such legislation. The panel will consist of local activists and organizations.
