AANM and DIA 2007/08 Joint Tours

Student Grades: 3-12

Cost: $8.00 per student

Bus Cost Reimbursement: up to $250.00

Tour Availability: This program is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. DIA docent-led tours begin at 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Wednesdays, and at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays.

Tour: At the DIA students will participate in the “Shaping Identity” tour through which they will explore how diverse cultures use art to define and communicate identity. The tour includes African, American, Ancient Egyptian, European and Native American art. At the AANM students will tour the exhibits “Coming to America”, “Living in America”, and “Making an Impact” to learn about the history of Arab American immigration, the life of Arab Americans at different time periods, and organizations and individuals who have impacted American history and culture.
